Recent Product Launches from Leading Companies

1. GC–MS & Surface-Analysis Tools

Thermo Fisher Scientific has introduced the Thermo Scientific Hypulse Surface Analysis System, which uses femtosecond laser technology for enhanced depth-profiling in X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS).

This system pushes boundaries in surface characterization and may be applied in pharmaceutical formulation coating studies, implant analysis, and materials testing relevant to pharma manufacturing.

2. Sample Preparation & Automation Platforms

QIAGEN is set to launch three new automated sample-preparation instruments between 2025-2026 — namely the QIA symphony Connect, QIA sprint Connect, and QIAmini. These are aimed at labs needing throughput, connectivity and sustainability in sample workflows.

For a pharmaceutical analytical lab this means scalable automation in areas like high-throughput impurity screening, environmental monitoring or formulation analysis.

3. Spectroscopy & High-Throughput Characterization

HORIBA Scientific announced an expanded instrument portfolio for the pharma industry, including two new launches: the Veloci™ A-TEEM BioPharma Analyzer and the PoliSpectra Rapid Raman Plate Reader.

These instruments deliver rapid optical spectroscopy (fluorescence, Raman) for biopharma and pharma workflows — useful in raw-material ID, formulation screening, and real-time process monitoring.

4. Regulatory/Analytics Software Solutions

Elsevier has launched PharmaPendium AI, a generative-AI assistant layered on regulatory insight tools that helps pharma professionals access and interpret regulatory precedent more quickly.

While not a physical instrument, this software solution is critical in pharmaceutical analytics labs where regulatory compliance, method validation and documentation are key.
